Ecto – 2006 honda vfr 800a
My very first bike was a 1987 Honda VF 500, also known as the Honda Interceptor. It was a first generation Interceptor that was leaps and bounds ahead in technology when it was first introduced. In 2003, the bike wasn’t anything to be bragging about. It was old, outdated, basically a classic that was my learner bike. In 2002 however, Honda introduced the sixth generation Interceptor now known as the VFR800. This was my dream bike, the bike that I wanted since I got my motorcycle licence back in 2003.
The plan was to get my bike next year but with rising gas prices, and not finding the car I want, the obvious choice was to purchase something that I’ve wanted for so long. I didn’t have to do much searching as the first bike I saw was the first bike I purchased! $8000 later, I have in my stable a 2006 Honda VFR800A aka Interceptor with only 5,500km. The bike was completely babied, bone stock and not a scratch on him.
I named him Ecto after the awesome station wagon in Ghostbusters! I’ve owned him for two months and have already put over 5000km! I cannot wait for the adventures we’ll be going on!
